Like other Pokemon game series, STAB (same type attack bonus) is considered to be applied in Pokmon Go. STAM indicates that the power of move is increased by 1.25 times when the type of Pokemon matches with that of moves (In other Pokemon series, STAB increases the power of moves by 1.5 times).
